Who Cares If The Valet Company Is Listed

Offering valet parking at your event or your business, the valet parking company you hire is like an ambassador of your company of sorts. The valet company you hire will be the first and last person seen when the client / customer arrives and departs. A professional valet service is one that mirrors the image you want to give your client / customer.

When choosing a valet company, make sure that company has undeniable references, use a valet company that actually provides valet service in the area you are holding the event or the business is to be located. The valet company if it is a true valet company (not a shell company using another company to do the parking) should be able to give you undeniable references for at least 10 years of service at a location. In the unlikely event that there is a problem or claim (we have only had one in 12 years) and we are always on site to handle the problem right then and there. If the valet company is not listed, you shouldn't wonder why, that valet company is probably a small company with a great reputation and just does not want to put their hard earned money into phone directories and Chambers of Commerce that charge to be placed there.

As a professional valet parking attendant service, since my inception in 2002, I pride myself on being the only valet company on Cape Cod that can provide the client with 10 years of undeniable service on Cape Cod. I use only my valets I do not hire out of state companies to do the service, I abide by the rule buy local and hire local, I am a small company but my service is impeccable. I just want to let everyone know that you do not have to listed with the Chamber of Commerce or in the phonebook to be a great company.

Another topic has been brought up about valet companies and if they are insured, well my company is and I provide a copy of the policy to the client as an additional insured. There are many types of insurance, I carry a:

General Liability Policy:  This covers the company for any unfortunate accident that may occur when we have control, custody, and care of the clients car, to either a person, vehicle or property this also contains my Garage Keepers Liability.

Workers Compensation Insurance: Workers Compensation insurance is business insurance that provides medical and disability coverage for employees who sustain job-related injuries. Workers Compensation insurance policies will cover an employee’s medical expenses and reimburse him or her for some percentage of lost wages. Which also includes Employers’ Liability Insurance

Additional Insured: I always add the event host or business where I am working as an additional insured, does your valet company do that? The valet company you do hire should provide this to you, this covers the named additional insured against any recourse from the injured parties due to an unfortunate accident when having an event or protects the business from being brought to litigation by the patron of the establishment.

Cape Cod Valet always insures with these policies and will be happy to provide a copy to you.

Now that we have covered if a valet company is listed or not and what insurance the company has lets move on to what the company has been up to since I last blogged.

We were at Puritan Clothing in Hyannis on March 29th for Girls Night Out and it was sponsored by Cape Cod Magazine. The event saw over 500 guest and raised money for WE CAN, a local non profit dedicated to empowering Cape women, Cape Cod Valet donated there services for the evening and a $1000.00 gift certificate to be auctioned off, on April 1st we were at the Navigator for the bridal show they held in Mashpee, Ma. Cape Cod Valet raffled off a $500.00 gift certificate. On May 5th we will be at Indian Pond Country Club donating your services and $1000.00 gift certificate to be auctioned off, The Arc is a private, non-profit membership organization committed to providing creative, flexible and diversified supports for people with developmental disabilities and their families.

We will be donating our valet services and $1000.00 gift certificate for the silent auction to the Figawi Ball being held at the Resort and Conference Center in Hyannis, Ma. for a list of charities that the Ball supports click here http://www.figawi.com/page/2824 . We have many more charitable functions we are doing throughout the year, we may see you at one of them.

I would like to say that we have picked up 2 new businesses this year 1 hotel and 1 country club to provide valet services for there weddings and other events.

We have more new business this year and more repeat business from satisfied customers, I think it is going to be a great summer.

Cape Cod Valet

Here it is September already labor day weekend, we have been busy.

Cape Cod Valet parked the Catholic Schools fund raiser in the beginning of the month and received a very nice review at finditonline.com. Ted Kennedy Jr. held a fund raiser for the Cheote Rosemary Hall School in Connecticut we were there to park the event, I have to hand it to my valets for parking 90 cars in a torrential down pour which umbrellas did not help. We were at the Kittansett Club in Marion, Ma. for a birthday celebration that Chad Michael Peters hired us for, let me tell you I hope I have a 70th birthday party like this one.  We have numerous private functions this month tomorrow being the first at Penzance Point in Woodshole, Ma., next weekend we have a three day wedding event on Martha's Vineyard. Vineyard Valet, Martha's Vineyards only valet parking company will be handling this event.

Last weekend my valets did a superb job on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this might be why we are the best valet company on the Cape and Islands we work in all kinds of weather even hurricanes.

Cape Cod Valet / Vineyard Valet / Valet Dream Function

Well here we are in August already, where does the summer go? The Vineyard has been a buzz with Lady Gaga sightings being on island while her new house is being built in Chappaquidick. Vineyard Valet is really in full swing now with 2 locations to better serve the Edgartown vacationer looking for parking. Vineyard Valet provided top notch service for the YMCA fundraiser in July. The Boathouse in Edgartown hosted a party for Disney after the early premier of the movie The Help with Emma Stone, Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen were at the premier, we had extra valets on hand for this event.

Cape Cod Valet is still providing there premier valet service at Ocean Edge Resort with 8 - 12 weddings every weekend now, which goes to show we are the Cape Cod Valet Choice. Willowbend hosted the Diabetes Foundations fundraiser this year with over 250 people attending and we were there to park this event. Mass General Hospital held there fundraiser in July out in Cataumet and we were there to park the event which was catered by Eat Your Heart Out Catering and I have to say Chef Crystal out did herself this time. The Catholic Schools will be holding there fundraiser in Woodshole this year and we will be there to park the prestiges event.

The valet dream function this last month had to be the Scott Brown fundraiser we did in Osterville, Ma right down the street where Adam Sandlers new movie I Hate You Dad is filming. The valets finally sent me the pictures from the event and the cars that they parked that night were amazing to say the least follow the link below to see them.

The web page is finally ready for Vineyard Valet, the signs are up, it has been busy on the island, we have had multiple private events already and we added the second station at Vineyard Square Hotel and Suites. Cape Cod Valet has been busy at Ocean Edge two weekends ago we parked for a fund raiser in which Jim Rice attended along with other sports stars, this past weekend the guys park 3 weddings totaling 800 people in 300 cars. We have alot of events coming up in the near future and I will keep you posted.

Cape Cod Valet / Best Buddies / Martha's Vineyard

Well here we are in June and the Anthony Kennedy-Shriver's Audi Best Buddies Challenge happened on June 4th and Cape Cod Valet was there to help with the valet and security needs for the day. The Shriver home in Hyannisport was the site for the VIP parties where you may run into Tom Brady, Carl Lewis or even Bill Belichick mingling with the select few who got to be there. Audi was the sponsor for the 4th year in a row, Fiji and Pepsi donated enough beverages to hydrate a small town, the participants and donors were treated to a lobster dinner and a concert put on by Natasha Bedingfield. Cape Cod Valet provided valet at the Shriver home and security for the tent and criterium events. Some of the guest had fun with my staff (Verne Troyer) to name one. This was a great opportunity for Cape Cod Valet to participate is this event, Best Buddies is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Martha's Vineyard starts tomorrow and we were mentioned in the Matha's Vineyard Times yesterday as being the valet company doing the valet parking in Edgartown. We have a couple of big events coming up one for Senator Scott Brown and one for the late Senator Kennedy's son. It looks to be a good year this year, Ocean Edge is in full swing with a 3 day event that is going to require 16 valets from 5am-1am, the Terrace is open and Matha's Vineyard starts today.

Cape Cod Valet / The Only Valet Parking Choice on Cape Cod and the Islands

Well here it is April already, we have had a great winter with 3 bridal shows The Cape Cod Wedding Planner event held at The Resort and Conference Center in Hyannis, Ma. where a lucky bride walked away with $1000.00 towards valet service on her wedding day, the next one The Cape and Islands Wedding Group which was held at Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee, Ma.where another lucky bride walked away with $1000.00 towards her valet service, and the event most brides wait for the WellWed Event which was held at the Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham, Ma. a lucky bride walked away with $3000.00 towards valet service which benifitted the Make-A-Wish foundation which we were more than pleased to offer. We received and email today from WellWed magazine thanking for the job we did and listing us in there featured vendors category.

Hi Matthew,

I hope this message finds you well!

We are thrilled to have featured your work in the latest issue of WellWed - Cape & Islands and very pleased with the feedback regarding the magazine's content. As we strive to continue to provide our local and destination couples with Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket's top wedding resources - we decided to spend an extra day in the studio to take a photo of WellWed, opened to the page of your ad. Attached is the image for you to do with what you wish. Additionally, we have included our "Featured Professional" button for you to add to your website or blog.

Cape Cod Valet will be back on Martha's Vineyard this year providing its top knotch service to the Boathouse / Atlantic and Edgartown, Ma., remember we are the only valet company physically out on the island to keep the overall cost lower, so if you are having a wedding or function please call us we have numerous references on Martha's Vineyard as to our valet service.

We have also been fortunate enough to pick up 2 more restaurants and a yacht club this year as well as the private events and weddings at private homes. The resort is looks promising this year for 60 event days for us, this means alot more hiring this summer.

To all of the brides, clients, future clients, sponsors, and just in general, we do not I will repeat that do not hire other companies to do your events and then claim that we did the valet service. There is a company out there on Cape Cod who does this, I feel it is wrong and misleading to the client. With my company all you get is the best valet service you can and rest assure that all my employees work for me and not some other company from who knows where.

Wet and Wild Weekend

Monday, September 6, 2010 at 4:40PM

Well lets first start by saying that Earl did not live up to the hype. I had 3 venues cancel that Friday night and reschedule for a later date in September, 2 of my places closed for the night, the guys were stuck on Martha's Vineyard for the night due to Hyline shutting off service to the Vineyard. The valets at the resort got soaked with he 150 cars they parked for the 1 wedding and 2 rehersals that did not cancel. Now on to the good stuff.

We finished out The Boathouse and Atlantic Fish and Chop House on Matha's Vineyard on Thursday due to Earl, everyone out there was really pleased with the service we had offered this summer and we will be back out there next summer. The valets at the resort parked over 800 cars this weekend and it looks like we will be going into November with them. The Perfect Plan hired us to provide valet for a wedding on North Rd. in Pocassett, Ma. last night, I have to say Connie Clark made this brides dream day come true, the setting in the woods at a house at the mouth of the Cape Cod Canal was absolutely breathtaking and the table settings under a clear sided tent made the view inside just as good. The catering company had the there hands full last night with it being a French theme food service and let me tell you they did a fanstastic job.

This week brings Cape Cod Valet a wedding on Seaview Ave. in Osterville, Ma. for 250 people, Cape Cod GSA 3 days at the resort for weddings galore and me some rest until the September 18 when weddings kick up in to high gear till the end of the month.

I leave you with this:

The majority of men meet with failure because of their lack of persistence in creating new plans to take the place of those which fail.

Fundraisers and more

Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 2:27PM
Where to start, your sister company Cape Cod Valet was very busy these past 2 weeks, last week started with a fundraiser for 3 Bays Preservation on Eel River Rd. in Osterville, Ma. then another fundraiser for 3 Bays Preservation on Seaview Ave. in Osterville, Ma., Cape Cod Valet was called last minute (3 hours before show time) for a job on Nantucket, Ma. for the Yellowstone Club and Bakers Point, the client stated that he had called a competitor and his price was outrageous, we ended this week with a fundraiser for Charlie Baker the Massachusetts Republican Governor hopeful on Seaview Ave. in Osterville, Ma..

This week also brought some heartache for John the owner of Ocean's with an unexpected fire in the kitchen of the restaurant that has put Ocean's out for the rest of the summer. Seaside pub is still going strong for another few weeks. The resort gave us the updated schedule for the rest of September looks like we will be there 3 days a-week for the next month.

Cape Cod Valet has started back up at the Hyannisport Club again, looks like we will be there every weekend till the end of October. Wiilowbend Country Club informed me that next weekend will be the last weekend for the summer 2010.

Martha's Vineyard was a whirlwind of excitement and frustration with the President on the island these past 2 weeks, Michele had lunch at the Boathouse were we do the valet parking in Edgartown, Ma. there was a lot frustration on the island due to the fact that where ever the first family happened to be nobody could come in to that area or for that matter leave the area in the vehicle until they were done. Well I was just sitting in my office and Air Force One just flew over, looks like the island will be back to normal.

I leave you with this:

Never fail to know that if you are doing all the talking, you are boring somebody

The Summer Seems Never Ending

Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 11:19AM

This week was a busy week for Cape Cod Valet with the 3 Bays Preservation fundraiser in Osterville, Ma., the Catholic Church fundraiser on Great Island in West Yarmouth, Ma. with the Cardinal O'Malley, and the summer party on Dune Rd. in Harwichport, Ma. we will be out on Nantucket for a fundraiser at the end of the month. Martha's Vineyard was in full swing with the charity event Race to the Rock which benefits all of Martha's Vineyard, there had to a thousand Harley Davidsons on the island for the event. The much anticipated arrival of President Obama has the secret servive on the island buzzing around scouting out his stops. We have a private event on the island on Friday for 1 of the most prominent figures out there (should be interesting to see who shows up). Last night Meg Ryan and guests showed up for dinner at Atlantic Fish & Chop House. We can not wait to see who shows up next week with the President on the island.

I leave you with this:

Whatever is begun in anger ends in shame.
